Obama Cronies Try to Unseat Rep. Jackson Lee PDF Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Tue, Jan 5, 2010, 07:01 AM

Congresswoman Lee.jpg"Vengeance is mine," say the steadfast supporters of President Barack Obama, and they shall sek to eject U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee from the Congressional seat that she has held since 1994. Why? Apparently, Rep. Lee committed the grave sin of endorsing the then-Sen. Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential pimary presidential campaign of 2008.

Ms. Lee earned notoriety on the Fox News Channel last summer for sending text messages on her cell phone while she was supposedly answering questions from constituents about ObamaCare at a town hall meeting.

The Houston Chronicle reports that, "Houston City Councilman Jarvis Johnson took the oath of office for his third term Monday morning and then went to Harris County Democratic Party headquarters, where he filed to challenge the eight-term congresswoman in the March 2 Democratic primary."

A Houston native, Mr. Johnson, 38, started his political career as a community organizer following in the footsteps of his role model, Barack Obama. Johnson had been the director of a youth center in District B, which he has been representing since 2005. Last November, he easily won re-election.

Johnson issued a statement Monday saying that, "we're going to have a frank discussion on who's capable of bringing and creating good-paying jobs for the people of the district."

Also on Monday, he told bloggers in an interview at Harris County Democratic headquarters that, "it's a democracy. It makes incumbents stronger to have an opponent."

A native of Queens, N.Y., Jackson lee had practiced law in Houston, served as a municipal judge and won two-terms as an at-large member of the city council before getting elected into Congress.

Ironically in 1994, she defeated the well-known incumbent, Craig Washington, when she campaigned for Congress. After winning the primary, she has been easily re-elected into office ever since.

As reported by the Chronicle, "Lee said she is basing her re-election bid on her record of service."

Jackson-Lee is her own worst enemy, and that's quite an enemy.

Remember, this is the woman who declared on the floor of the House that Man had walked on Mars.

In the infamous YouTube of Jackson-Lee's rudeness at a health care town hall meeting, she lied like a rug. She claimed to be using her phone to call for information on questions. But, in fact, she was using the Walkie-Talkie feature on her cell phone to get answers from her staff members and to tell her what important people were there so she could give shout-outs to them.

Jackson-Lee is pretty much an idiot. While she's a very political animal, she's fundamentally dishonest in the eyes of many, and has had media stories done about her that back that up.

One famous piece is her using staff members as chauffeurs, and using government vehicles as her personal limo for going to and from work - a no-no in any body's book.

So, I suppose it's Karma that Jackson Lee is about to be attacked based on the same corrupt politics she's encouraged for all of these years.

As amusing as her stupidity may be, she's another Cynthia McKinney who actually damages our constitutional republic.

If Mr. Johnson is smart enough to tie his own shoes, his election would raise the IQ of the senate.
