In the past, whenever the Dallas Blog posted links to internal UN documents, the links would be mysteriously broken shortly afterwards. Hence, it's possible this scenario may occur again, even though the public has a right to know and the United Nations hosted a "Transparency Summit" last year, led by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
The Dallas Blog will cite some of the most damaging audits below. The reader can "Google" to find out what certain acronyms stand for: 07/07/2008 - "Audit of Local committee on Contracts in UNAMA" 11/07/2008 - "Audit of UN-Habitat Financial Management" 17/07/2008 - "Audit of UN Operation in Russian Federation" 22/08/2008 - "Audit of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research ... needs to strengthen its governance mechanisms and improve compliance with UN regulations and rules." 25/08/2008 - "Audit of the Gifts Management System at United Nations Headquarters" 26/08/2008 - "Audit of Management of UN Police Operations" 29/08/2008 - "Audit of UNODC Myanmar Country Office" 18/09/2008 - "Audit of UN HCR Operations in Iraq (Ammam Office) - Weak internal controls over program management requires immediate corrective action. 18/09/2008 - "Audit of supply and management of food rations in UNMIL ... needs to ensure: hygienic storage of rations." 23/09/2008 - "Audit of UNHCR Operations in Khartoum and East Sudan" 17/10/2008 - "Audit of UNHCR Operations in Kenya" 14/11/2008 - "Audit of UNHCR Headquarters Asset Management Board" 10/2/2008 - "Audit of security provisions applied to staff, site and assets during the execution of the Capital Master Plan" 23/12/2008 - "Audit of the 'Initiative for Central Africa' ... funded by the Shell Foundation" 24/12/2008 - "Audit of the ICT strategic systems planning and governance structures at the United Nations Secretariat." 26/12/2008 "Audit of the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of services provided to beneficiaries by the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund" 16/01/2009 - "Audit of the provision of medical services in UNMIS" 16/01/2009 - "Audit of the management of waste disposal and environmental protection activities in UNMIS" 07/07/2008 - "Investigation report on sexual exploitation and physical assault by a United Nations' peacekeeper in the United Nations Organization mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo" The listing of audits goes-on-and-on. The UNHCR appears to be the worst offender in these documents. The UNHCR stands for the United Nations' High Commioner for Refugees. The United Nations has recently disclosed to the public a listing of internal audits, from July 2008 to the present, conducted by the OIOS (Office of Internal Oversight Services), which has been grossly ignored by the mainstream media. The OIOS posted a listing of these audits in small print, which fills nearly 36-pages.
