The Washington Times reports, "Mark Lloyd's provocative comments - most made during a tenure at the liberal center for American Progress think tank are giving fodder to critics who say Mr. Obama has appointed too many "czars" to government positions that don't require congressional approval. They are also worrying to some conservatives who fear the FCC might use its powers to remove their competitive advantage on talk radio and television." Many other comments have been exposed by conservative-leaning writers and bloggers and discussed on cable television as a broader critique of Mr. Obama's desrie for czars that erupted with the resignation this month of Van Jones, the "green jobs czar." According to the Washington Times, "in one of his more - eye-opening comments, Mr. Lloyd praised Mr. Chavez during a June 2008 conference on media reform, saying the authoritarian Venezuelan president had led a 'really an incredible - a democratic revolution.'" Fox News personality Glenn Beck aired a video clip of the conference, in which Mr. Lloyd appeared to be endorsing the anti-American firebrand against independent media outlets in his own nation, some of which supported a short-lived coup against M. Chavez in 2002. Mr. Lloyd is quoted as saying that, "the property owners and the folks who then controlled the media in Venezuela rebelled - worked, frantically, with folks here in the U.S. government - worked to oust him. But he came back with another revolution, and then Chavez began to take very seriously the media in his country." As reported by the Washington Times, "at another conference, Mr. Lloyd spoke about the need to remove white people from powerful positions in the media to give minorities a fairer chance." This clown also believes "free speech" is not a foundational right, and should be subject to government control and must comport to pro-government character. Obama clearly has the worst judgment in people and advisers in the history of the presidency. Tax cheats, thieves, liars, treasury officials who are tax miscreants and can't add with the help of a computer, anti-American, anti-white, anti-Israel, and anti-capitalism "czars" and other high officials; we might as well have Rev. Wright or William Ayers in the Presidency (as some suggest we already have). If anybody on Earth should champion "free speech", it should be the FCC. Yet, Obama has hand-picked a Marxist radical and racist goofball who sees broadcasting and the Internet as threats to the control of the state, and therefore elements that should be brought under the tight control of the state. If this diversity officer sees his job of ridding management and government administration jobs of white people, as he says, then he makes of the Civil Rights Act a cruel and clever suicide pact for white people. Thank goodness this dangerous statist is only in charge of free speech, and not extermination camps for dissenters. The Democratic Party has a number of bright, patriotic, thoughtful, and non-racist members. Someone from that party needs to have a serious chat with Obama about what he is doing, and the social destruction he is both advocating and attempting to accomplish. No wonder Jimmy Carter loves Obama. He's being replaced as America's worst president.

In fact, this great American wrote a book in 2006 in which he calls for a total "confrontational movement" attacking private media. Lloyd's goal, as he unabashedly states, is to have leftist activists - through incessant political pressure - and the government - through the creation of a totally untenable operating environment of fees, fines and regulations - to work together to force the commercial broadcasters out, to be replaced by public broadcasters. But, equally disturbing is what Lloyd says about the First Amendment, its meaning, and how it applies to government. "It should be clear by now that my focus here is not freedom of speech or the press. This freedom is all too often an exaggeration. "At the very least, blind references to freedom of speech or the press serve as a distraction from the critical examination of other communications policies. "[T]he purpose of free speech is warped to protect global corporations and block rules that would promote democratic governance." Lloyd sees free speech and freedom of the press as impediments to "democratic governance", which is what he praised about the Hugo Chavez war to crack down on his previously free media. This is the radical Obama puts in the Federal Communications Commission to make broadcasting, the Internet, and media more "diverse" and supportive of government. The Founders of our country are rolling over in their graves.

The diversity czar at the Federal Communications' Commission, appointed by President Barack Obama has spoken publicly about getting white media executives to "step down" to be replaced by minorites, enforce policies to make liberal talk radio more succesful, and called Hugo Chavez's rise to power in Venezuela "an incredible revolution."
