UN May Face Major Medical Malpractice Lawsuits PDF Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Tue, Jun 2, 2009, 05:11 PM

Angela Kane.jpgThe United Nations may face earth-shattering medical malpractices lawsuits in the near future. Why? Apparently, evidence, can be proven through a simple Google search, revealing that only one doctor employed at the UN Medical Services Division (MSD) in New York City is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.

Even more shocking, some of these so-called doctors provided medical services to world leaders, diplomats, UN employees, prestigious global citizens and their family members. In some cases, unlicensed doctors and nurses at the UN MSD severely harmed unknowing patients with their less than adequate treatment procedures. Reportedly, one man died a few months ago, due to medical negligence. Allegedly, in one instance, a person suffering from a deadly tropical disease virus, which is highly-contagious, appeared at the UN headquarters expecting to be cured of the sickness. 27 percent of the patients, who were treated by the UN MSD in New York City , had been United States citizens.

The UN can’t even verifiably prove that these particular doctors are properly licensed. While perusing the current list of doctors and nurses working at the UN MSD, it was revealed that only one doctor in the department was licensed to work as a physician in New York . The discovery was made by typing the phrase: “Office of the Profession New York” into the Google search engine. A person can then log on to the ‘OP’ NY state verification webpage, which will show if someone is licensed in their field. An individual could scroll down and highlight “Doctors (Physicians)” in the professions’ category box and type the last name of the person in question.

Through this surprising simple research method, it could be determined that even Brian Davey, the head of the UN MSD, was not a licensed physician. For public record, other doctors listed as physicians, but not licensed, at the UN MSD in New York City are: Alexandre Lima, Lucila Ojeda, Serguei Oleinikov, Esther Tan, Tesfaye Teklu, Adarsh Tiwathia and Surachai Vicantankajakij.

A license verification process was also conducted on the names of UN MSD nurses and discovered that at least four persons are not legally permitted to work as registered nurses in the state of New York . Those persons are: Ruth Agwai, Mehret Kahsai, Rhonda Thomas and Christine Millar.

Allegedly, these unlicensed doctors and nurses were also involved in a scheme to purchase and provide prescription medications for patients, even though New York state law strictly prohibits anyone from distributing controlled-substances without a proper license. Narcotics were bought in the U.S.A. and there are strict guidelines to follow when discarding, dispensing and documenting the medical purposes, and that hold liabilities, along with any medical personnel known to be self-medicating.”

Hence, all the unlicensed doctors and nurses at the UN MSD face the clear and present danger of getting arrested by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. They can each be charged of an A-1 felony offense and if convicted could serve a prison sentence of 15 – 25 years.

Allegedly, Neomy Mantin, head nurse at the UN MSD, may be withholding evidence by taking charge of a so-called narcotics log book, which reveals damning evidence of all unlicensed doctors and nurses who participated in the scheme to provide controlled-substance to their patients. The log book also shows the dates and times of when these controlled-substances were given to people of interest. If so, she has the potential to tamper with evidence by changing the wording of the documents.

Nevertheless, Angela Kane, the UN Under-Secretary-General of Management, announced at a press conference on May 21, 2009 that the UN conducted an internal investigation on the UN MSD and claimed that all doctors and nurses in this department are properly licensed to practice medicine in New York . She made this statement on video camera, which can be viewed on the United Nations webcast archives web page. Just click on the May 21, 2009 “Daily Noon Press Briefing.”

Ms. Kane also noted that all staff members of the UN MSD were cleared of any wrongdoing with the exception of an alleged whistleblower who may have released information about criminal activities linked with the narcotics scheme to the public. Kane is quoted in the video as saying that the so-called whistleblower will be “sanctioned.”

Yet, Ms. Kane may be implicated in a criminal offense, too since she publicly made contradictory statements about the UN narcotics scandal, which was later revealed that no official internal audit was conducted on the MSD after the scandal was exposed in the media.

isnt the Un international territory? So then it would stand to reason that the employees would also be recruited internationally. This means that there registrations and qualification would also be from ther Countries/Internationally.
