A well-connected Republican tells the Dallas Blog that longtime Bush political advisor Karl Rove is helping Kay Hutchison as she prepares to run for Governor in the Republican primary in 2010. Hutchison is expected to take on incumbent Republican Governor Rick Perry in what is expected to be a heated Republican primary in 2010.
Rove was the architect of George W. Bush’s successful campaigns for Governor of Texas and President of the United States, but many political observes consider the Bush political consultant to bear a major share of the blame for the Republican’s loss of the White House and the Congress. Rove has advised Hutchison in past races of hers.
Wow.... I would have never thought something would actually make me consider voting for Rick Perry for anything.
Rove's involvement in Hutchison's campaign leads me to believe it will be one devoid of substance with the slash and burn tactics he's famous for and that's a shame because I actually respect Sen. Hutchison.

So Kay and Rover want to do for Texas what they've done for Washington? I'll agree with Michael A. on this one--I'm sticking with Perry.
