The Los Angeles Times sounded blatantly sexist when posting an article about Sarah Palin’s future interview with CBS News anchor Katie Couric. The L.A. Times is quoted as writing, “oh, goodie. Maybe they can talk about shopping, the resale shops for those spiffy campaign suits, how to get the Palin beehive, what color lipstick looks best on pit bull leaders an what’s up with the tanning bed.” According to ET, Couric will reportedly spend two days traveling on the campaign trail with the Republican vice presidential candidate this month. The first interview segment will be broadcast on the “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” on September 29, followed by additional material on Sept. 30 on “The Early Show” and CBS News, a press release said. Coverage will include Katie Couric’s travels and interview with Palin along with behind-the-scenes access to Palin and John McCain. The L.A. Times asks, “when will Palin face the real feminine fire by going on “The View” and chatting with Whoopie Goldberg, Barbara Walters and Elizabeth Hasselbeck?” On a side note, Samuell Zell, the owner of the L.A. Times, has made it known to the public that he enjoys frequently visiting strip clubs, so it should be know surprise that he would publish this particular article.
