BBC News reports that, “the move comes a day after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned the import of more than 30 generic drugs made by the drug firm.” The FDA revealed it imposed the ban after it found manufactured quality problems at two Ranbaxy factories in Mr. Giuliani’s consulting and investment firm will advise Ranbaxy and look into compliance issues. The Indian firm has said it is “very disappointed” with the decision of US prosecutors had alleged in July that Ranbaxy, The US Department of Justice is demanding the firm hand over key documents related to drug testing procedures. According to the BBC, “the firm was paid millions of dollars by the US government to provide low-cost HIV drugs for President Bush’s emergency plan for Aids relief, which was set up to help Aids patients in 120 countries around the globe.” To read the entire article from the BBC News, link here:

written by maximus , September 19, 2008 Why Rudy? He knows nothing about pharmaceuticals and he's not a medical expert? Simple - it's not what you know, but who you know. He'll pick up the telephone and call his cronies in DC and persuade them (promises of campaign contributuions)to change their minds. In doing so, he'll join the ranks of other political hacks who sold their souls to promote the interests of Communist China, Dubai, and Georgia. This country is being destroyed day-by-day, piece-by-piece. One of the causes is corruption, including bribery that we so politely call lobbying. I guess the hero of 9/11 had a price too.
