Texans for Fiscal Responsibility has announced its first set of endorsements for the general election. TFR President Michael Quinn Sullivan clarified to LSR that additional endorsements could be forthcoming during the cycle, as the organization is still interviewing candidates and has not received questionnaires in some key races. That said, the current batch contains the bulk of TFR’s endorsements. One more disclaimer: Sullivan noted that the lack of an endorsement should not necessarily be interpreted as negative or a criticism of the other candidates.
A link to the TFR endorsements is posted below, but here are some of the key ones:
* Kirby Hollingsworth and Brian Walker in * Republican Tim Kleinschmidt for the open seat vacated by Rep. Robby Cook’s retirement. * Dee Margo (R) over Joe Moody for the * Republicans Todd Hunter and Connie Scott over * Republican Karen Wiegman over party-switching Democratic incumbent Kirk * Republican Bryan Daniel for the open seat vacated by Rep. Mike Krusee’s (R-Round Rock) retirement, and Donna Keel (R) over Rep. Valinda Bolton (D-Austin). URL Resource: Texans for Fiscal Responsibility PAC endorsements
