| Campaign for Parkland Bonds Goes Public |

The so-far quiet campaign to pass a $747 bond program to build a new Parkland Hospital goes public with a press conference today. The bond issue will be on the ballot Nov. 4, when voted turnout is expected to be high for the presidential election. County officials will appear at the press conference at 1:30 in Old City Park to promote the bond issue for the county hospital. The program will help fund a new 862-bed adult inpatient hospital including a Level 1 trauma center and burn center, an outpatient center, office building and parking.
