Biden Family Financial Connections are Questionable PDF Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Thu, Aug 28, 2008, 02:36 PM

Biden finances.jpgJoe Biden, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, is facing some questions about his family’s lobbying and financial dealings. The family is connected to SimmonsCooper, an Illinois law firm that specializes in representing asbestos victims. The Los Angeles Times posted an investigative report by Chuck Neubauer and Tom Hamburger that details some questionable deals.

According to the Washington Post, “the Times reports that the firm promised to finance a hedge fund deal for Biden’s son, Hunter, and brother, James (which ultimately fell through); picked the law firm of another son, Beau, to work on dozens of asbestos cases in Delaware and that SimmonsCooper employees donated about $200,000 to Biden’s campaign efforts since 2001, making the company his top donor.”

Hunter Biden works as a Washington lobbyist. Beau Biden, the attorney general of Delaware, gave an emotional introduction last night to his father at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Co.

Joe Biden’s brother James and Hunter Biden have been accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, the Post has reported.

It has become painstakingly obvious that you have been self-appointed the resident conservative dirt digger. Each time you post it is not about what the Republicans can or will do but what the Democrats have not done. You know what, two can play that game and all ways watch what you say because it may come back at you.

Each time you libs post it is not about what Obama can or will do but what the Republicans have not done. I'd say it has already come back.

Dirt is one thing, but truth is quite another and should never be construed as dirt.

When you can focus on policy differences and clearly focus on that as opposed what a person has or has not done, then I will buy that argument. Let's see if the Dems personally attack the first term Governor of Alaska who will be running with McSame.
