British Media Mocks Obama as So-called ‘Anointed One’ PDF Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Fri, Jul 25, 2008, 09:29 AM

Anointed One Obama.jpgIs Sen. Barack Obama the ‘anointed one?’ Certainly not, but some members of the media, including Chris Matthews of MSNBC, tend to portray Obama as a god-like figure. Gerard Baker, a Times of London columnist, goes a step further by posting a Biblical-style narrative of Obama. It should be noted that he was using sarcasm.

Oh for the days that the news media reported the news instead of inventing the news. MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC..all of them have become BHO's sheep.

I heard a news story yesterday and they were interviewing several people. One or two were against BHO, several agreed with his policies but the scary ones were the ones who said they were going to vote for him simply because he is black.

Before you throw the racist word at me, I stated the other day that I would vote for Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas in a heartbeat over the two we have running. Better yet, over all of them, I would vote for Tiger Woods. TW is not a phony, has more foreign policy experience than BHO.

It is sweet of the news media to follow BHO on his overseas trip. Where were they when JM made many trips to Iraq.

Guess the media was hoping BHO would walk on water while he was there.

The reason why Barack is so popular with the media is because he sells advertising dollars. What are you going to cover to make money? Barak on a tour of the middle east & Europe or McCain's tour of chicken shacks in Ohio?

I no so suddenly realized that all of you right wing free market folks only like the free market when it benefits you. Like, duh.

Byron, get off Thomas & Rice already. They're hacks. Rice was promising before she met the president. But Powell, in a heartbeat, where is he?

It's so refreshing to see someone conducting themselves in a presidential manner overseas. It's been years.

Our long national nightmare is nearing an end.

I wasn't aware the networks were having trouble selling advertising. Grrrrrrr likes to build up fantasy scenarios that favor his side and then tear them down.

Michael,
I fear our national nightmare is only beginning!!

Grrr,
Let me guess..Anybody that is not a liberal is a hack to you. It there anything to which you disagree with the Messiah?

Surely, even you, can admit that the networks no longer report the news, they interpret it. Haven't heard much from the networks on Iraq lately. Guess they don't want to report the progress.

Been waiting for weeks to ask someone this question. What is your stance on the "Fairness Doctrine?"

BTW Mike,
He is not president yet. And according to national polls, I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. Although, McCain want be much better.

Michael a,

Your president Ford paraphrase about the long national nightmare is interesting. But let's be clear, Bush makes Nixon look like Mother Theresa.

I agree with Byron. I never thought the American people would ever allow a socialist to run for president. John Dewey has done his goal well in corrupting the public school system Hitler was a "messiah" figure in Germany. Obama's megalomania is reminiscent of Hitler's oratory at Munich that I saw on the March of Time Newsreel. During a military career visit to where Hitler spoke in Munich, I could almost eerily still sense his evil presence there. For the first time in my relatively long life, I am seriously concerned about the future of our Constitutional Government and for our nation's morality and freedoms as well if Obama is elected. I don't have Byron's wonder about who speaks for him.
