Boone Pickens unveils energy plan PDF Print E-mail
by Will Lutz    Wed, Jul 9, 2008, 10:17 AM

Texas oilman and investor T. Boone Pickens today unveiled his plan for Texas energy, with a national public relations campaign that includes stories in both USA Today and The Dallas Morning News. Basically, Pickens is going to spend a lot of money educating voters about America's dependence on foreign oil. Pickens's plan involves dramatically increasing the use of wind power and then taking the natural gas currently used to fuel power plans and using it to run vehicles. (In the interest of full disclosure, Pickens is a major investor in a wind farm in West Texas). It's an interesting plan, so we post a link to Pickens's website below.

Good. Someone with common sense that more drilling wont mean more gasoline.

Ol' Boone has never made a move that wasn't calculated to make him a boatload of money.

I'm sure that under the public veneer his new "plan" is designed to make him richer than ever.
