The Texas Cable Association has announced that it has elected its officers and executive committee members. Robert V. Moel, who leads the operations of Time Warner Cable North Texas Division, will serve as chairman and Ray Purser, vice president of public relations of Comcast Houston, will serve as vice chairman. Both serve one-year terms.
“I’m excited and honored to have been chosen to represent the cable industry in Texas,” said Moel. The work of the Texas Cable Association is vitally important to our industry and to our customers. This year, TCA members successfully lobbied for reform of the Universal Service Fund (USF), leading to more than $144 million in savings to Texas taxpayers. Additionally, Texas cable operators continue to invest in the communities they serve, deploying more advanced services and preparing cable customers for the coming digital transition.”
