The Chicago Sun-Times reports that, “after making derogatory comments in May about the then presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton during a guest sermon at Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side, Pfleger became an international object of scrutiny and scorn when the speech went viral via YouTube. Shortly thereafter, the ever controversial priest was censured and placed on mandatory leave by Cardinal Francis George.” Fr. Pfleger appeared feistier than before the scandal erupted. He passed out handouts to churchgoers displaying a picture of a boxer in a fighting crouch that read: “Ain’t Nothing Like a Comeback!” Fr. Pfleger is quoted by the Sun-Times as saying, “for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again.” Apparently, the Chicago priest has faith that he’s a righteous man even when he ridiculed Sen. Clinton for crying and urges his parishioners to promote political activism. The Sun-Times never mentioned if Fr. Pfleger apologized for his controversial comments. written by Jonathan Green , June 23, 2008 It sad when Tom McGregor using under the table sophticated journalism to promote racism as with this pic of Father Pfleger with Mr. Farrakahn. Sad Tom, shows how much you have grown in the area of racism. You are dangerous Tom, to your own cause that is.

written by maximus , June 24, 2008 Jonathan: The photo is appropriate because it is representative of the type of racists and radicals that Father Pfleger chooses to associate with in Chicago. The priest is himself a radical Marxist. While you admire his politics, we have every right to examine and criticize his actions. Our right to do so is rooted in the First Amendment which liberals have not yet destroyed. Write comment

Fr. Michael Pfleger, a controversial Sen. Barack Obama booster, remained unapologetic when he returned to the pulpit at St. Sabina Catholic Church on Sunday to give his first mass after a two-week exile for bad behavior. His parishioners showed enthusiastic support for his return.
