John McCain, the presumptive GOP nominee, will deliver a major speech on energy policy Tuesday in Houston. The Houston Chronicle reports that energy industry leaders have received invitations to the speech at a downtown hotel. Here's the story. McCain also has scheduled a big fundraiser in Houston, the hometown of one of his national fundraising cochairs, Bob Mosbacher, founder of an oil company.

written by withheld , June 16, 2008 So McCain can show up four days after the state GOP convention to raise money but fails to make an appearance at the convention? Three of his fellow candidates all managed to show up: Romney, Huckabee and Paul. I wonder why he couldn't make it. Could it be that few delegates were actually enthusiastic about our presumptive nominee, perchance? Whatever the reason, he only further alienated Texas Republicans by taking us for granted this weekend. Write comment
