The Houston Chronicle reports that, “Hyannis Fire Lt. Bill Rex told the Associated Press that a 911 call came in from the Kennedy family compound at 8:19 a.m. A man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital and transferred by air at 10:10 a.m. from Barnstable Municipal Airport to Massachusetts General Hospital.” Kennedy, 76, has been serving in the Senate since election in 1962 filling out the term won by his brother John F. written by Danilo , May 17, 2008 I've never agreed much with Ted, but here's hoping he pulls through. He is as much a fixture of the Senate as anyone I can think of.

written by Grrr , May 17, 2008 Byron, Why do you guys skip past Nixon & go right to Ms. Kopechne when you talk about the Kennedys? We have fun on this blog, but please, don't be disrepectful, especially in Dallas, where the Right killed his brother.

written by maximus , May 17, 2008 I can't think of another person who has done more damage to America than Ted Kennedy. His 1965 immigration law has devastated the basic fabric of America. It's transformed this country from a melting pot into some kind of indistinguishable goulash. Of course Teddy and his clan won't feel the effects of his law. They'll continue to vacation at their compound on Martha's Vioneyard, send their offspring to the finest private schools, and suck the teet of Old Joe's ttust fund. Nice. Here's wishing the very best to ya Teddy.

written by kyle , May 18, 2008 this melting pot you referred to before Kennedy's reformation of immigration pretty much consisted of white europeans. really a lot of diversity there maximus.... i'm really happy that we have people from every corner of the earth in the united states. people that appreciate the things america has to offer and don't take them for granted. does the color of a persons skin "destroy the fabric America?" i can believe that it makes us strong. because the original fabric of america said the black people are 3/5ths of a human being.

written by Rex , May 18, 2008 What does Kennedy have to do with immigration? The last overhaul was the 1998 Immigration Reform Act. Passed at time when the GOP control the House and the Senate.

written by Danilo , May 18, 2008 Grr, are you a fool? Come on, "the right killed his brother"?????? Were you unaware that Oswald was a communist who had even lived in the USSR for a time and lobbied the American public on behalf of Castro's regime in Cuba??? No, Grrr, JFK was killed by the left. Please get your facts straight before opening your big liberal mouth. Write comment
