CNN’s Richard Quest Enters Rehab PDF Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Mon, Apr 28, 2008, 02:14 PM

CNN Richard.bmpOn the orders of a judge, CNN reporter Richard Quest entered a ‘drug rehabilitation facility’ following his arrest in New York City’s Central Park with methamphetamine in his pocket. He avoided serving jail time by agreeing to undergo drug counseling and therapy.

Fox News quotes a statement by CNN as saying, “at this time, CNN’s primary concern is for his health and well-being. We look forward to Richard returning to CNN International.”

Quest, a British man, is a correspondent for CNN International and is recognized for his reports on business travel. He is the host of CNN’s ‘Business Traveler’ and ‘Quest.’

Manhattan’s Criminal Court Judge Anthony Ferrara presided over Quest’s arraignment. He told Quest that he must attend the counseling and drug therapy designated by prosecutors for the next six months, and then his case will be dismissed.

Quest was allowed to leave court without posting bail, but he was warned that if he fails to comply with the counseling schedule, he could be sent back to court and on his way to jail.

Okay, from what read, he was found with a noose around his neck that was somehow attached to his, ahem, genatalia, meth in his pocket & a sex toy in his boots, loitering in a park after it closed.

It is no wonder he spoke with an exaggerated english accent.
