On Monday, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an animal rights organization, launched a campaign against former Vice President Al Gore. PETA complains that Gore loves to eat meat.

According to Fox News, “while reps for Gore had no comment, (Fox News) confirmed with people who have worked with the ex-veep that he loves his steak and sausage, plus he was notorious for chowing down on the almost all-meat Atkins diet during his run for the president.”

The United Nations recently published a report, which determined that raising animals for food generates about 40 percent more greenhouse gas emissions than all the cars, trucks, ships and planes in the world combined.

PETA accuses Al Gore of blatant hypocrisy and demands he eat a vegetarian diet for 30 day, which would ‘allegedly’ prevent the release of more than 270 pounds of carbon dioxide into the Earth’s atmosphere.
