written by Grrr , March 23, 2008 Mary Ellen, you are 100% correct. But look on the bright side, Richardson would be a great president in his own right. He's one of the smartest people in politics but he is held back by his lack of curb appeal and his wonkishness. I still hope Hillary pulls it off. Whoever you support Dallas, doesn't feel great to be an US citizen this election cycle? There is something different here, and I trust it'll get even better when president Bush comes back home.

Former presidential candidate and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson endorsed Barack Obama at a campaign event in Portland, Ore., today, saying this election is a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" for the nation and Obama is a "once-in-a-lifetime leader." Richardson, the nation's only Hispanic governor, praised Obama for his speech on race in America, saying "he appealed to the best in us." He said that as a Hispanic-American, "I was particularly touched by his words." Richardson served as Secretary of Energy and U.N. ambassador under Bill Clinton and has been a close friend to the Clintons. The Hillary Clinton campaign, however, shrugged off the endorsement -- which could hurt her among super delegates -- saying both campaigns have many great endorsers. Here's the
