The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that, “Wright, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s former pastor, made headlines last week after ABC News aired his comments in a 2003 sermon that blacks should sing, ‘God d*** America’ instead of ‘God bless America.’ The executive committee of the TCU board of trustees voted in favor of moving summit events off campus, including the March 29 awards banquet. The Telegram quotes TCU Board Chairman J. Luther King Jr. as saying, “while universities should be a place where controversial opinions are freely expressed, the safety and security of students, faculty and staff are the primary concerns of the board.” To read the entire article from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, link here:

written by Anthony E , March 22, 2008 TCU punked out because of media pressure. Those who have common sense understand that sensationalizm from the media is top billing in this so-called controversy. Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright's sermon is taken out of context even in your statement above. Mr. McGregor: you need to check out the full sermon at http://digg.com/2008_us_electi...n_contex t before you mislead readers with the same ignorant assertions of other journalists.
