The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that “state lawmakers return to work Monday for what might be one of the most heated sessions in years. Gov. Sonny Perdue, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and (House Speaker Glenn) Richardson have promised to tackle water shortage problems, create a trauma health care system, improve transportation and develop programs to better prepare high school students for careers.” Water had become a central concern of many poll respondents and something they want lawmakers to address.
