Trophies.jpgEven with all the hype and pressure going in to The Big Game, they handled it like pros…pun intended.

The Dallas Cowboys trumped the Green Bay Packers Thursday night at Texas Stadium in a style that left you wondering how we ever lost to those hated Patriots. Well, maybe. I suppose it depends on how much you really believe in the ‘Boys. Me, I have them going all the way and then some. Typical.

As predicted, my favorite part of the game came from none other than the amazing Terrell Owens. That is one lucky fan who handed T.O. the bucket of popcorn. It was the perfect touchdown celebration for the show he put on in the first half. Clever, fun and not even worthy of a fine from the NFL—hey, no props on the field were used, and it came from a fan. He just didn’t want to disappoint the crowd. And, trust me, he didn’t.

T.O. owned the first half (well, aside from one Mr. Tony Romo, of course), and he ended the game with seven receptions for 156 yards and one fabulous end zone accomplishment. We won’t talk about his disastrous drop later in the game. Not everyone’s perfect.

When T.O. received more coverage in the second half from Al Harris, and he wasn’t able to overcome it as he brilliantly had in the first thirty minutes of the game. But, no worries. Romo found his buddy Jason Witten was a nice play to throw. Witten had six catches for 67 yards in his usual go-to-guy fashion.

This team proved even more so Thursday night that it is of championship caliber.

You’ve got to feel a little bad for the great Brett Favre getting injured, but I have a feeling he will bounce back pretty quickly. He doesn’t not start games. He just doesn’t. Besides, that was just good defense by America’s Team.

If you thought some fans were bad before the game about already planning the Super Bowl celebrations, get ready for even more fanfare to fill the local air. You might as well just take a whiff and soak in all of it. After all, it’s a thing of beauty.

But it’s too bad more people didn’t get to see the game, huh?
