The best Cotton Bowl Classic matchup likely is a Kansas-fueled crowd against Alabama and first-year coach Nick Saban.
The Jan. 1 tilt is setting its sights on the Kansas-Missouri loser against (A) Alabama (B) Arkansas (C) Auburn.
The Cotton, which had Nebraska vs. Auburn last year, is hoping the SEC doesn't fall apart and have to send Auburn back again. Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville likely will leave as he's pretty much a solid back-up plan on a host expected college openings.
If Arkansas doesn't implode, the Razorbacks (5-2) always make for a good Dallas guest.
The Cotton Bowl will be played the next two years in Fair Park before making their announced move to JerryWorld in Arlington in 2010.
