- 3rd Annual Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation Dinner - Patriot’s Award and Distinguished Citizen’s Award to be Presented at Four Seasons General Colin L. Powell, United States Army (Ret.) and 65th U.S. Secretary of State, along with Wayne Doran, trustee at Glimcher Realty Trust and The event is one of several regional dinners that will be held throughout the country to celebrate the rich legacy of American courage, sacrifice, service, and patriotism. The signature event originated in New York in 2003 and has since expanded to include Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Seattle. General Powell will receive the Patriot’s Award at the event. Created in 1968, it is the highest award that the Congressional Medal of Honor Society can bestow on an individual. Past recipients include Bob Hope, H. Ross Perot, George H. W. Bush, General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, and General Peter Pace.
