So I’ve just finished a post after a long day at City Hall and do my daily ritual of catching up on reading. Earlier in the day, I read Jim Schutze’s Observer piece about Councilmember Mitchell Rasansky while on lunch and just was over visiting Unfair Park when I noticed an interesting post by Robert Wilonsky.

Early this morning, while I was stuck in traffic, Wilonsky made a post regarding the new City Council committee appointments, which I posted on Dallas Blog yesterday around 5 p.m. Wilonsky includes several links in the post, including one to Dave Levinthal’s Dallas News story as if he broke the news.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not conceited enough to think Wilonsky is a regular Dallas Blog reader. In fact, I seldom see him link to our site. That is his prerogative.

However, what is striking about his post is the end where he includes Leppert’s memo to the council members along with the entire list of the committees EXACTLY how I typed them in my blog posting. Keep in mind, the committee appointments were given in an Excel spreadsheet and I retyped everything. Also, this info is not included in Levinthal's story.

It’s clear Wilonsky took our info and hey, no biggie. But where’s the credit? He gives love to the DMN and then posts our stuff? Not cool.
