What happens if all those human fountains of Happy Tears assemble together, in one tuxedo’ed-up ballroom?

Presenters include Emmitt Smith, Tom Landry Jr., Dr. Bobby Brown, Mayor Tom Leppert, our own Norm Hitzges and Mavs president of Utopia Donnie Nelson.

Award recipients include: Dick Vermeil (the LAMAR HUNT AWARD, DASA’s National Award, given for longevity, achievement and sportsmanship); Tommy Lasorda (the LEGENDS AWARD , for lifetime achievement or lasting impression on their sport); Tony Dungy, (Tom Landry Award, for the nation’s outstanding Professional or College Coach); Darren Woodson (EMMITT SMITH AWARD, given to an Athlete for Performance, Passion and Pursuit of Perfection in sports); James Brown (PAT SUMMERALL AWARD, for excellence in sports journalism or broadcasting); Ron Springs and Everson Walls (COURAGE AWARD,  given to someone in sports that have shown exemplary courage); and Dirk Nowitzki (the BIG D AWARD, given to the person who has enriched local sports by their character and achievements. Dirk is still in Germany; Donnie Nelson will accept).
