With Karl Rove quitting as President Bush’s chief political adviser, the question As the new issue of the Economist reports, one man vying for the job is Hillary Clinton’s chief campaign strategist, Mark Penn. He’s considered to be a polling genius and has a significant influence with Mrs. Clinton. He’s responsible for crafting her image and advises her on everything from long-term strategy to crisis management. But, says the Economist, he is notably different from Karl Rove in that “Mr. Penn is a committed centrist who thinks elections are won by wooing swing rather than revving up the base.” To read the entire article from the Economist, link here:
