As usual, some things are a bit lost in the translation with Dirk. And, I’m assuming his “sense of life’’ thing was said maybe tongue-in-cheek. But Nowitzki does possess that Steve Nash-like hippie side to him. And any who trains for professional basketball by rowing a canoe and blowing into a saxaphone has a sort of unusual depth.

(I've always wondered why people on this side of the planet figure "the meaning of life'' can only be found on the other side of the planet. Do people in China, pondering the meaning of life, book a flight for Newark?)

But just in case he’s trying to go all existential on us, let me rely on Gertrude Stein to clear things up for The UberMan.
