Nothing to talk about? Leppert seems to have forgotten about the 47 pages of TrinityVote signatures he handed over to District Attorney Craig Watkins, alleging instances of voter fraud. Of course, none of the pages in question contain signatures verified by City Secretary Deborah Watkins, but that doesn’t seem to bother Leppert. In a DMN story, the DA called out Leppert and city officials. "This to me, on the outset, looks like someone is trying to determine the outcome of this election. It's unfair," Watkins said. Sounds like Watkins is emerging as the voice of reason on this one. Maybe his attitude is what had Leppert putting his tail between his legs today. Here’s another quote from Watkins courtesy of Channel 8: “Don’t use this office to promote your political agenda.” Mayor Leppert, are you listening?

An executive session on legal matters regarding the Trinity was pulled by Mayor Leppert Wednesday as he told council members there wasn’t anything to talk about.
