McCain May Drop out of Presidential Race PDF Print E-mail
by Tom Pauken    Tue, Jun 26, 2007, 02:14 PM

The London Times is reporting that Sen. John McCain may drop out of the presidential race this fall in the wake of declining poll numbers among likely Republican voters and campaign financial problems. McCain’s backing of the Senate immigration reform legislation is seen by many political observers as a major reason for his loss of support from Republican primary voters.

I would be surprised if Sen. John McCain is still in the race by the time the Iowa caucus rolls around early next year. His free fall in the polls suggest that he stands no chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination in 2008.

I agree, Tom. McCain has no shot and should get out of the race.

He's a disgrace to the party.

After his vote this morning, I would suggest that he not even show up at the Republican National Convention (he might be offended by the thousands of booing voices).

He cannot decide to which party he belongs.

Never liked him. Never will. Sooner he retires to live off his rich wife the better. It wouldn't surprise me that Arizona voters recall him.

Good Riddance- Now if the party can get rid of Guliani, Romney, and get over the foolish flirtation with Fred Thompson - they will at least be on the right track towards stopping the bleeding of the party, which looks more and more like they have a death wish which will lead to another Clinton in the White House.

Republicans need to quit worrying about who is more electable and who can raise the most money and start promoting candidates with integrity and principle. In the long run they will benefit and prosper from such a course of action. There are several who are good, but only Ron Paul has been right on all the important issues - especially the big one that threatens the very future and viability of our country - the phony war on terror that is making us the most hated nation in the History of the world and leading us to national bankruptcy.
