Plano East coach Johnny Ringo and Coppell ISD athletic director John Crawford are the two most likely candidates to replace Mike Fuller, who just left for Colleyville Heritage. Ringo was very popular at Coppell before leaving to be an SMU assistant eight years ago. He still lives in Coppell with his wife as the district information officer and his daughter about to enter high school as a drill team Lariette, possibly the most popular extra curricular activity at the school. Crawford was a standout coach at Plano East and Burleson and smaller schools but was not a spread-formation offensive guy as Ringo is. There's a big community interest to keep that style. Of course, the well-respected Crawford could lure a top offensive coordinator. Law to Heat? The Miami Heat has an interest in Texas A&M and former Kimball point guard Acie Law, reports the Miami Herald. He'd be a great backcourt duo with D Wade, but it's iffy whether Law will be available when it picks 20th in the June 28 draft. Also projected in that range: Georgia Tech point guard Javaris Crittenton.
