Former Dallas police chief Terrell Bolton is back in the news again, this time down in San Antonio where he applied for the vacant police chief of that city along with 45 other applicants. Bolton's chances of being selected Chief of Police there don't appear too good if Ken Rodriguez of the San Antonio Express-News is right. Rodriguez has a column today in which he asks the question: "Does Bolton have a chance in San Antonio?" and then proceeds to answer it: "He was rejected in Phoenix--and guess who helped select the top cop there in 2004? The same person who will hire San Antonio's next chief--city manager Sheryl Sculley. Asked what she thought of Bolton, Sculley offered two telling words: 'No comment.' I could be wrong, but here's my translation: Bolton has a better chance of coaching the Spurs than leading the SAPD.
