Dem. Representative, John Murtha, top of the "I Think Bush is a Bad Boy" list, goes one further by announcing that he wouldn't join the military now.
His party's leading spokesman on military issues, Murtha takes ownership of the quote "If recruited now, I would choose not to serve". How convenient for Rep. Murtha. I wonder if the decorated Vietnam veteran would have liked it if a sixty-something year old politician expressed these same 'don't serve' sentiments when he was 'in country'?
This is a prime example of a man that has morphed into a total political shill for his party's anti-war lot...Complete with the whining and tears.
A lot of people don't like what's going on in Iraq for a lot of different reasons but to lead any young person away from serving their country is reprehensible. What kind of message does this send the men and women who serve bravely everyday in the war against terrorism? Whether or not you believe in this war or the politicians that wage it, you certainly ought to appreciate a viable military that enables us to enjoy a terror free lifestyle here at home. Aside from wiping up his tears with it, Murtha needs to throw in the towel.
