The Texas Rangers have a new accessible GM.  Now, with the Winter Baseball Meetings in town there are high hopes Jon Daniels, will make real strides toward respectability with a couple of blockbuster trades and a free agent signing or two.  Mike Fisher doubts it - any and all of it.  He thinks the franchise is too pathetic for anyone to deal with seriously or any player with ability and choice to sign on with.  He thinks an "accessible" GM is about all the progress this team is likely to make.
