Sabra King achieved her Bachelors of Arts in Telecommunications in1993 from Texas Tech University with a minor in English. Since graduation, she has pursued her career in Dallas, Texas. She has achieved success within the fields of sales, marketing, writing, recruiting, fundraising, event planning and management. Her initial roles began in broadcast sales and marketing where she gained experience in event production, sales and community relations. Sabra became accomplished in sales and recruiting within the rising Information Technology spectrum, the golf apparel industry and within the newly deregulated energy market, where she became partner in Empowered Consulting.
To incorporate a balance of activities and social responsibilities, Sabra began her philanthropic work as a member of the Dallas Society which supported the North Texas Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She served a variety of roles such as chapter event planner, community relations and executor of financial agreements.
After identifying a talent and fervor for writing, Sabra founded Paper Canvas in 2003, a freelance writing services company which focuses on creative and business writing projects. She is now the collaborator of the newly published book, On My Way, which benefits The Cancer Monument, a national non-profit foundation. Since publication of On My Way, she has joined the Board of Directors of The Cancer Monument and is the Director of Fundraising. She also served as the Editor of re:d Magazine, an innovative lifestyle publication published by PrimeDemographics. In the fall of 2005 she left her position at PrimeDemographics to accept the position of Editor for Where Magazine, the number one source of information for visitors in fine hotels throughout the world. www.where-dallas.com.
