Carolyn Barta is a legend in Texas journalism and politics. For 35 years she worked with the Dallas Morning News as a political reporter, viewpoints page editor and columnist. There are few national, state or local political movers and shakers that Carolyn has not covered and gotten to know over that time. Few have her understanding of the dynamics and players that drive Dallas and Texas that Barta possesses. She is also the author of a biography of former Texas Governor Bill Clements titled "Bill Clements - Texas to his Toenails." Today she is a professor of journalism at SMU. |
